Women’s Entrepreneurship Day 2025 at RMIT University — Using AI to Level the Playing Field for Women in Business
On November 19th, our Partner Laura Nguyen joined an inspiring panel at Women’s Entrepreneurship Day 2025, hosted by @RMIT University Business School, and supported by @SPARK Hub. The conversation brought together women founders, leaders, and innovators to explore this year’s theme: “The AI Advantage: Leveling the Playing Field for Women in Business.”

The session brought together leading women founders and AI experts, including Ms. An Vo (Founding Partner & Managing Director, Janus Executive Search & Talent Advisory), Ms. Linh Pham (Co-founder, FreightPilot.AI & Owner, LOGIVAN). The sessions is moderated by Dr. Yen Nguyen (Co-founder, Gyla Education & Chief Business Officer, Quickcom). These inspiring leaders shared their experiences on leveraging AI to level the playing field for women in business, fostering innovation, collaboration, and inclusive growth across industries.
Laura shared three key reflections from her work across AI, innovation, and early-stage ecosystems:
1️⃣AI is creating entirely new roles and opportunities for everyone, men and women alike. Because many of these jobs never existed before, young professionals must adapt quickly. The ones who learn fastest, experiment early, and embrace change will be the ones who stay ahead.
2️⃣Everyone is talking about AI, and most people are using it in some form, but that doesn’t replace critical thinking. AI can be confident but wrong, and it often “agrees” with whatever you ask. This is why human judgement, verification, and the ability to question results are more important than ever.
3️⃣AI can be an equaliser, but only if women actively help shape it. Bias in AI reflects bias in society, so women must be part of building, governing, and applying these technologies. When they are, AI becomes more inclusive and opens doors that were previously closed. And in Vietnam, where women already hold strong leadership positions across many sectors, this participation is not only possible — it is already happening.
A big thank you to organizers and all the remarkable speakers for creating a space where women’s voices in AI and entrepreneurship can shine. We’re proud to see Laura represent GenAI Fund and contribute to strengthening Vietnam’s role in the global AI innovation movement. 💙
