Recap: GBM x Qwen x Julius Baer and GBM x HSBC

Two days after a packed GBM in Kuala Lumpur, the SEA Tour landed in Singapore for a same-day double header.

On April 8, GBM x Qwen x Julius Baer opened the afternoon from 4–6pm, bringing together 40+ builders, founders, and finance professionals at Julius Baer, a leading Swiss private banking group. The conversations covered where AI is starting to show up across private banking, compliance, cybersecurity, data infrastructure, and enterprise workflows.

Just one hour later, GBM x HSBC filled the evening from 7–9pm with 50+ founders, engineers, and enterprise leaders at HSBC Innovation Banking SG, the part of HSBC focused on supporting startups, scaleups, investors, and innovation-led companies.

Across two rooms and more than 90 attendees, the day showed exactly why the GBM SEA Tour has been gaining momentum: builders are moving fast, and financial institutions are paying close attention.

A massive thank you to Qwen, especially David Yam and Jason Lin; Julius Baer, especially Jonathan Chan, Ryan Lou, and Wee Kiat Goh; and HSBC Innovation Banking SG, especially Wen Yang E, Christina Lee, and Neetal Nema, for opening the doors and showing up for the builder community.

KL packed out. Singapore packed out twice in one day. The SEA Tour was not slowing down
