Recap: GenAI Builders Meetup x Qwen x Sunwah Group Vietnam
Another GenAI Builders Meetup (GBM) wrapped — our fourth in a month.
The momentum carried into Ho Chi Minh City with 170+ registrations for just 30+ spots, bringing our total meetup attendance to 600+ in April alone. As the final stop of our three back-to-back events with Qwen, Vietnam closed it out with exactly the kind of energy we hoped for.
After Qwen AI Build Week and the first two stops of the GBM Qwen SEA Tour in Malaysia and Singapore, builders came through for an afternoon of pitches, sharp ideas, and real conversations about what it actually takes to build with AI in the region.
This was not a room for surface-level talk. Builders came ready to share what they were working on, where they were stuck, and who they wanted to meet next. The projects ranged from legal AI and enterprise workflow automation to banking copilots, world models, compliance operations, hiring platforms, and AI infrastructure for agents.
A big thank you to our partner Qwen, who powered all three events from Qwen AI Build Week through the GBM Qwen SEA Tour across Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam. It has been a strong collaboration, and we are proud to help bring Qwen’s technology closer to the builder community across Southeast Asia.
And to Sunwah Group Vietnam, thank you for hosting us in a stunning gallery space that was even bigger and more beautiful than we asked for. The venue gave the afternoon the right kind of atmosphere: open, warm, and built for real conversations. Special shoutout to Jessie Choi, Thuy Ho, and Claire Tu for making everything run smoothly from start to finish.
