Denning Tan is a Partner at GenAI Fund and brings a wealth of experience with 20 years in the tech startup, investment and M&A sectors. Previously, he was Director of Ecosystems & Sustainability at CARSOME, Malaysiaʼs first unicorn, where he led the companyʼs ecosystem and venture-building strategy, M&A, and sustainability initiatives. Before CARSOME, he was the Head of Startup Ecosystems for ASEAN & Pakistan at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he played a crucial role in supporting thousands of startups by co-creating the AWS ASEAN startup playbook and utilizing AWSʼs resources to nurture startup business development in the region.
Before AWS, Denning spent 15 years working closely with / representing startups, investors and acquirers worldwide on fundraising (seed to pre-IPO) and M&A exceeding $1 billion in deployment, acquisition strategies, product and business development, and running an accelerator / incubator, with roles as founder, chief innovator, general counsel, VC/PE lawyer, mentor and angel investor.

Magdalene Choong, CFA, is a seasoned finance and investment professional with over 20 years of experience spanning securities dealing, equity research, private equity, and venture capital. She was a core member of HDFC’s first real estate private equity fund in Singapore, where she helped manage over USD 700 million in AUM. Magdalene has also held key roles at leading VC firms such as Beenext and Monk’s Hill Ventures. Her expertise includes fund setup and operations across multiple tax jurisdictions, as well as supporting startups through fundraising and scaling. Most recently, she worked with US-based accelerator Iterative, where she guided early-stage founders on their growth journeys.

Girish Patil is Head of Technology for GenAI and Digital Native business unit at AWS ASEAN. He has 20+ years of experience in the tech industry, of which 10+ is on advising super apps & digital native businesses. He has worked across USA, Canada, South America, UK, APJ. His technology background is in deep learning, distributed and parallel computing & big data analytics. In his current role, he investigates emerging technologies and their impact on business models and helps build strategy for upcoming opportunities. Gian Paulo dela Rama (Gian) is the Chief Product Officer and Head of Sprout AI Labs at Sprout Solutions, the Philippines’ largest B2B SaaS company. He leads all product management and product design efforts as well as all AI R&D activities. Before joining Sprout, Gian co-founded and led Aiah, the Philippines’ fastest-growing AI startup, ranking 4th in the Philippine Growth Champions 2023. In 2023, Sprout acquired Aiah, forming Sprout AI Labs (SAIL). Gian is also a faculty member at Ateneo John Gokongwei School of Management and actively supports the Philippine startup community as an angel investor and mentor.
